How to Choose a Watch That Suits You
Size, strap and dial matter more than the name on the face. A short guide to choosing well.

Get the size right
The case should cover about two thirds of the width of your wrist. For most men that means a diameter between 38 and 42 mm.
A leather strap is lighter and dresses up easily. A metal bracelet is tougher and suits everyday wear. Many watches let you swap between the two.
Dial colour
Black, white and dark blue dials go with nearly everything. A coloured dial is a good second watch.
Wear it your way
A watch should sit just above the wrist bone and slide under a shirt cuff without catching.
